As the tradition goes, a 50 year anniversary calls for GOLD!

Based out of Morrinsville in the Waikato region and with a rich history primarily servicing the dairy sector, family-owned Normans Transport decided they wanted something special and unique from their standard fleet builds to mark their 50-year milestone.

Given the opportunity to push the boundaries and to create something different, Normans opted for the top of the line Scania R650 tractor unit to base this flagship build off. Packed with an imposing 650hp engine, and all the creature comforts you could think of there is no doubt this unit was destined to turn heads.

While ordinarily the Normans Transport fleet are finished in the company red, blue, and white, this is no ordinary unit, so a bold metallic gold finish was the choice made to celebrate 50-years in the transport and logistics industry.

Having eight Domett Truck & Trailer units already, and as Normans Transports exclusive supplier for curtain-sider units for the past 7 years, Workshop Manager Stephen Cross knew there was no question but to use Domett for this flagship build project. When asked what was the key things that stood out for him with this build, Stephen comments “I just really enjoyed the collaborative approach and out of the box thinking Domett brought to the table. As somewhat of a perfectionist myself, I enjoy working with a like-minded supplier who is easy to work with and is prepared to take the time to help make our builds come to life the way we envision them to do so.”
