Fabricator/Welder (All Levels)
the role…
We have multiple opportunities available within our Fabrication Team (New Builds) and Repairs and Maintenance Team for Fabricator/Welders of all levels.
Within our New Builds Team you’ll be working on the production line and responsible for fabricating and welding our truck and trailer units including, chassis, beams, frames, decks, components and parts where required.
Within our Repair and Maintenance Team, you will work with a variety of repair and maintenance tasks and a variety of materials (steel, aluminum and stainless steel). This role will be a subject matter expert for diagnosing and repairing mechanical and electrical issues, including hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
The successful candidates will be provided with ongoing on the job training, and a variety of jobs and projects. There may also be an opportunity to complete your apprenticeship and become a qualified tradesperson.
You will have the opportunity to work as part of a supportive team and will enjoy an early finish on a Friday. The hours of work are Monday to Thursday, 7am – 4.30pm and Friday, 7am – 3.30pm. Flexibility to work overtime is desirable.
We are open to receiving applications of all experience levels – from someone who is a qualified tradesperson with experience under their belt to an entry level candidate who enjoys being hands on, is mechanically minded and enjoys following a process.

INDUSTRIAL Spray Painter
the role…
We are looking for an experienced automotive painter to join our Paint and Blast Team. This role will be responsible for painting our truck and trailer units using an electrostatic spray-painting machine (full training provided). All painting is completed to the Resene Fleet care approved standard and according to job specification.
Our paint booth is a purpose-built facility offering two heated spray booths, a heavy lift system to get jobs in the air and an electrostatic spray-painting machine where we paint predominately newly built truck and trailer units.
There are plenty of opportunities to develop within the scope of this role and within the Paint & Blast Team.
You will be surrounded by a supportive team and an encouraging Supervisor. This role is Monday to Friday (day shift) offering 44 hours per week and the opportunity for overtime.
To be successful in this role you will have:
- 2-3 years proven spray painting experience
- Experience in a commercial environment is desirable
- Experience using an electrostatic spray-painting machine is desirable
- A high level of accuracy and attention to detail
- A great work ethic and punctuality
- An understanding of work place health and safety

Brake Press Machine Operator
the role…
The successful applicant will help manage day to day work flow in our “cut and fold area”
This will include operation of our (add in sizing) Guillotine and (add in sizing) CNC brake press and various power and hand tools, to manufacture parts for our busy factory team.
The right candidate may also be trained to operator our CNC plasma profile cutter.
The hours of work are 7.00am to 4.30pm Monday to Thursday and 7.00am to 3.30pm Friday.
To be successful in this role you will:

Understand that no two days maybe the same and have a flexible approach to your day to day tasks (within reason)
-
Have good communication skills and positive outlook
-
Be good with numbers and basic math, addition and subtraction
-
Be willing to work with large machinery with respect and caution
-
Be physically fit and able to work with heavy items up to 20kg

Be well organized and have good time management
Advantageous but not essential:
-
Have experience with a brake press machine
-
Have experience with power tools such as a 5” grinder
-
Have used measuring and marking out tools before
